Kate got in touch after I'd photographed a couple of her close friends weddings.... She was enquiring all the way from London town where she has been set up with her man on a mission James for the last 7 years. While Kate forged a career in fashion and James smashed out an MBA and set the world alight in the banking game, Jimmy decided that it was time to put a ring on it and commence the journey to his greatest achievement yet... Marrying Kate. The setting of the Barrossa @ Collingrove with the history that surrounds the settling of Australia created a great juxtaposition for these two sophisticated, stylish souls who are forging their own path in London a reverse parallel.

Stories are richer these days. We are in an age when marriage is rarely the beginning of the relationship but more the point at which two people decide the journey has begun and their course in life has commenced so it’s time the celebrate their love. The innocence and purity of romance isn't replaced by a story with a chapter or two written rather it’s complemented with a background that runs deep in emotion and heart. That’s James and Kate. Their story has taken a step or two. It's certainly in the right direction. And this was the day that they let all their mates come back to their home, SA, to celebrate the first few chapters and charge their glasses to the adventures that are on the horizon, both near and far.

From the Bride:-
So a bit about J and I. We met at a friend’s going away party, I remember my friend took my hand and James' and joined them together and we have been pretty much inseparable ever since! After a year together we made the huge move to London together and luckily everything worked out. James proposed completely by surprise (to me!) last March on Port Noarlunga beach. It was very sweet because he knew how much my grandma wanted to see me get married while she was still around and he proposed at a time she was visiting from Perth. James had organised a surprise party on the afternoon he proposed and my grandma was able to share in that wonderful day. She was also a big reason we had the wedding in Australia rather than overseas. I guess what I feel was really special about our wedding was the people who were there. We had friends and family from all over the world and interstate and many of our closest friends are from school days. All but one of my bridesmaids were school friends from Loreto and then of course there was my extended bridal party in all of the Loreto girls who were there which you have experienced at Mary and Jo's wedding I'm sure! It really is pretty remarkable how close we all are after all these years and especially since I have lived in London for the past 7 years.
